Voltaj to represent Romania at Eurovision Song Contest 2015

After winning the Romanian “Selectia Nationala” (National Selection) and had obtained 12 points, both from the jury and the public, Voltaj will represent Romania at Eurovision Song Contest 2015, in Vienna, 19, 21 and 23 May.

With a strong emotional message, „De la capat” is more than a song, it’s a manifest. Composed by the members of Voltaj, Deepside Deejyas, Monica Stevens and Andrei Leonte, the song presents the cause of the children, whose parents left Romania to work abroad. That’s the main reason of what their children live in severe emotional trauma. The official video of „De la capat” contains images from the short film „Way of the Danube”, directed by Sabin Dorohoi.

A child needs love, hugs, family. The song and the video talk exactly about unfulfilled childhoods, about parents who are thousands of miles away, about the untold night stories. Because life is happening now and there’s no rewind button.

“Our dearest… we finally decided! We considered all your opinions, to which we added what we feel we should do in order to have the best chances in Vienna. And this is the version of the song which we’ll perform in the contest!” – Voltaj.

Voltaj, with “De la capat” will be acting in the first Semi-Final, on May 19th, with contestants from Greece, Macedonia, Estonia, Netherlands, Moldova, Finland, Belgium, Armenia, Serbia, Denmark, Belarus, Russia, Georgia, Albania and Hungary.
